Thank you for stopping by and saying "Hello".
Such a surprise!
Gee oh man. Today I got a chance to really experiment with my weedless frog in the lake. Our pond has a lot of sludge right not floating on top. There are many openings though to work a frog through. The frog was KILLING in the "strike" category but not so much in the "fish on" category. I read a bunch of articles about techniques and learned much from them. My weedless frog's hook gate was not opening though after the strike... Waiting 2 seconds and then setting the hook. I later read that one bass master said if he landed 50% of the strikes he would leave the lake happy. Well, it's hard for me to do that. When the lake is jammin' I can land a dozen 12 inch bass in about 30mins using a Powerbait . You can see how this is hard for me.
Switched out the salamander with a white Powerbait minnow. Pulled this beauty out. Broke my 5lb line at the end but I grabbed him in the mud.
