I am very excited about this spring. Not only because it means that winter is over... kinda (Cleveland weather) but it's fishing season. We live in a development that has ponds throughout. Well, we have one in our back yard.
Anywho, this pond has some serious bass stocked in it. I had a chance last summer to fish it and would catch at least 10 decent (15+ inch) bass in an hour. This showed me the pond's potential.
March 9th hit and the sun came out for a few a days: I caught my first bass of 2013:

After that week the pond froze over again and I waited. Mid April rolled around and it was game on.
I ended up catching 10 bass in 20 minutes! Cast after cast. The salamander was killing!
